More people die each year from work acquired asbestos diseases than any other work related hazard. But because these diseases can take 40 years to show up it is often overlooked. This means that every year more people are being exposed to asbestos in the workplace – especially when working on older buildings, plant and equipment. 
This workplace health and safety poster is aimed at encouraging workers to be proactive in getting well informed about handling materials that might contain asbestos.
